Millions of women spend their youth dreaming about their wedding day! Because of the significance of this special day, hiring a highly skilled and trustworthy wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions of the wedding planning process. It ranks right after finding the perfect wedding planner! Let’s explore a few things to keep in mind when selecting the right wedding photographer to archive the memories from your special day!

Ask for a Referral! What better way to put your mind at ease than hiring someone who comes highly recommended from a trusted source? In addition to polling your family and friends for great wedding resources, you’ll want to leverage the power of the Internet and do some online research.

Online research is actually a lot of fun. This is your opportunity to explore all of the beautiful wedding photos on the websites of wedding photographers and event planners. Visit our blog at http://avsevent.com/blog to get started! Your online exploration will not only inspire ideas and lead you to the right photographer, it can jumpstart your search for just the right color scheme, venue, flowers, table centerpieces, etc.

Once you have identified several potential wedding photographers, it’s time to take things up a few notches and start the interview process. You want to prepare for this step, so have a list of questions ready and pay attention to your gut feelings.

During and after interviewing your photographer, ask yourself three key questions: Does this person seem passionate about photography? Is he/she excited about helping to make your wedding day dream a reality or does he/she appear to be focused only on the bottom-line payment? Does the photographer ask questions and take time to get to know you and your partner? If you answer no to even one of these questions, move on. If you haven’t done so already, now is the time to bring your groom into the photographer selection process.

Another key step in the creative process of choosing the best wedding photographer is to review the photographer’s portfolio. Does the their work literally take your breath away? It should! Your wedding day photos create the foundation for lasting memories of your special day.

When it comes to photos, know what inspires you. Are you in-love with the antique feel sepia brings to a photo or is a more traditional color scheme your style? Would you prefer an album of mostly formal poses or a more journalistic style? It is important to understand the photographer’s signature style so you are sure to get the wedding photos of your dreams.

If the photographer’s portfolio lacks the elements you are looking for in your wedding album, move on to the next candidate. Visuals speak louder than words.

Once you have covered the creative aspect of finding your perfect wedding day photographer, it’s time to tackle the more technical side of hiring the best photographer: negotiating prices, calling references and entering into a contract.

Talk to the photographer about services and pricing. Does he or she only offer set photography packages or will they create a custom program to fit your wedding day needs. While you don’t want to bargain hunt when shopping for a wedding photographer, you certainly don’t want to sacrifice other important parts of your day to cover your wedding photography bill. So, be smart when developing your photography budget and make sure you factor in the cost for reprints, wedding albums and wedding videos.

Whew!! Planning a wedding is not for the faint of heart, but we are almost there. You have almost covered all bases except asking for references. Now it is time to really dig deep to make sure all of the great things the photographer is promising will be delivered. I suggest asking for at least three references and most importantly … call them!

If you have reached this point in the process, your photographer has passed the test and now it is time to get everything in writing.

As we are at this final part of the wedding photographer selection process, I would be remiss if I failed to mention that it’s important for you to know who will be taking your wedding day photos. You would be surprised to know how many brides go through the entire process of researching, interviewing and hiring a wedding photographer only to arrive at their wedding day and have the photographer’s assistant show up. Get a written contract and know what’s in it. DO NOT sign a contract in which the photographer reserves the right to send any staff photographer to your wedding.

Everything discussed and agreed upon between you and the photographer should be in writing, including the name of the photographer, wedding and reception venue, start and wrap time for photographer, if he/she will have an assistant (and that person’s name), package price, overtime rate, etc.

Finally, always read the fine print. You do not want any surprises on your wedding day, unless it involves something special with your new hubby.

Each type of photography has a term associated with it. Photographers market themselves using these terms to appeal to their potential clients. They may be traditional, classic, fresh, modern, emotional, fashionable, dramatic, artistic, and pretty much any other term you can come up with. You may not understand these terms and they may not always be easy to understand because anyone can brand their photography without a set of standards that they must adhere to. It is your decision on whether you feel their style is what you’re looking for which should be based on samples that they have available in their portfolio.

There are two predominant types of photography that are used for weddings. The first is what most people know from the past and is termed traditional photography. In traditional wedding photography, the photographer has a lot of the lead in determining which pictures are taken and how they are done. People are usually looking directly at the camera and every aspect of the picture has to be perfect from the dress to the smiles and the other surroundings as well. The images are planned ahead of time and the photographer may even have a list of poses and where or how the pictures are going to be taken. There is usually a set time period for when the pictures will be taken where everyone gets ready to pose. These are the types that have been featured in traditional wedding magazines and can be very easy to plan but usually aren’t very original and can appear stiff or fake looking. A sense of fun may be missing.

A different type of wedding photography which many people and photographers lead towards is photojournalism in the wedding photography. Essentially, the pictures tell a story without words. The pictures alone provide the narration and you can follow the events of what happened with them. The photographer doesn’t give anyone at the wedding direction on how to pose and instead observes their surroundings and captures them in the most awe-inspiring way possible. It is becoming more popular now because it is very low stress and offers real memories instead of staged ones. It also integrates photography into your already planned wedding without needing its own time slot in the day. It may not work for everyone though because you may not appear the best you can in every single picture, the results have the possibility to be incredibly unpredictable, and you don’t know which shot will be your favorite until you get the results back.

Each person must decide what they want for their wedding style. Your chosen photographer has to have your style in mind because you can’t have two there with vastly different styles as they’ll be stepping on each other’s toes trying to get the perfect shot in. Know your expectations ahead of time. If you stress a lot and definitely want a specific set of shots you may want traditional but a photojournalistic approach may suit you if you want to put your trust into someone else’s hands to see what they can do.

The best weddings are made in Florida and nothing can compare with Miami weddings. So if you want the best Miami weddings that make a lifelong impression on your guests and your loved one, Miami weddings are the closest you can have to a perfect wedding.

Miami weddings can be a traditional wedding or beach wedding but most wedding planners will recommend a beach wedding for that added touch and class to make your big day truly romantic. There are many beautiful beaches in the “Sunshine State” of Florida but Miami weddings are the best.

It is advisable for would-be couples to avail of the services of a wedding planner. For the bride, this is big load off her shoulders because there are so many things to do that she might end up tired on her wedding day. Besides, wedding planners are professionals who had planned many weddings before and are not likely to overlook something.

Their services include planning your wedding from the budget to the actual ceremony itself to planning the reception afterwards. You can ask them to plan your honeymoon too within Miami itself since they know the environs very well like the best beach condo units and the best in fine dining in the evenings. They can also recommend which concerts are available in the evenings for a romantic touch.

Florida beach weddings are getting more popular each day and most prefer Miami weddings especially during this coming spring break. The weather is usually cooperative around this time of the year and a beach wedding is ideal for that outdoors ambiance which your guests will surely appreciate.

Miami is a known tourist spot so it can get crowded at times but there are secluded areas where Miami weddings can held in relative privacy, away from the prying tourist crowd. In fact, some Miami weddings are held in an ancient Spanish monastery recently restored and renovated at great cost. That should provide the perfect backdrop for those very special and unforgettable Miami weddings.

Miami weddings planned properly can provide most brides with that once-in-a-lifetime chance to enjoy and celebrate the most-awaited day of their lives in total rejoicing and happiness. Nothing can duplicate Miami weddings when it comes to that perfectly romantic matrimonial event.

Wherever you are right now, plan your Miami weddings with the help of wedding planners and you can even choose your favorite spot anywhere in South Beach or other less crowded areas of Miami. You will be guaranteed a lifetime of memories that will last forever even up to your retirement years.http://www.ultimatebeachweddings.com/

Weddings are perhaps one of the significant special occasions in a couple’s life. It symbolizes the start of his or her brand-new life together and it only occurs once, quite often anyway. A wedding is the ultimate celebration of a couple’s love and it should be remembered always. You cannot find any more suitable style of capturing those memories as compared to through pictures. Wedding photography Brisbane offers young couples all very reputable options for wedding photography concepts. If you want a snapshot shoots well before wedding ceremony with the woman of your dreams, you can seek the services of a digital photographer and choose a position you desire, like the woods or an area filled with plants, whatever your preference, there’s always something in store for you.

On the day of the wedding itself, your wedding photographer are going to be truly busy taking every single moment of the celebration. This is exactly why it is important to employ the help of a wedding photography team that you have the faith in, after all, you are only going to get married once and also you want to be able to catch all those cherished instances in still pics. If you already hire a videographer, there is something about still image remembrances that make your day special. So a trusted wedding photography Brisbane team is essential on the largest event you have ever had.

Whereever the location of your wedding is, be it by the beach, in a big religious organization, or a small chapel on the hill, wedding photography Brisbane will takes care of all your needs and make sure that all the essential remembrances are taken. You can also select from digital photography to film photography in accordance with your decision, you might have to keep in mind though, that film photography is more costly than electronic digital as film is high-priced and there’s no such thing as a “delete” button to eliminate a shot that was taken badly. Most wedding photographers rarely need retakes but the benefits of digital photography is the fact that photographers can take as many photographs as they want and choose the best ones later, unlike in film photography, they need to print out the whole thing first before they are able to choose which ones are the best. Your wedding photographer will probably take hundreds of shots on the big day and you are probably only planning to want many of these photographs, not all of them, which is why it is very important hire a honest wedding photographer in Brisbane.

Over the years weddings have become highly personalized affairs with couples competing to memorialize their wedding in the best possible way. Wedding photography in general evolves in order to stay relevant and in sync with the other essentials in these unusual weddings. Presented here are some of the latest trends in Colorado City. The main trend in Colorado wedding photography is photojournalism. Photojournalistic wedding photography lets the marriage day unfold naturally. It does not play an active role in posing for shots; the photographer captures every event as it occurs.

This style in Colorado wedding photography results in more candid and real life photographs. But a major drawback in this style of photography is when an inexperienced photojournalist fails to capture certain shots or doesn’t use the ambient light well. If you choose to work with the photojournalistic style, be certain that your Colorado wedding photographer is experienced in this method. The typical Colorado wedding photographer will merge this new trend with the more timeless traditional style. The Colorado wedding photography seems to be creating wedding albums like never before. It not only highlights the best wedding moments but also offers a complete record of your special day.

Many photographers have acclaimed this style of Colorado wedding photography and have chosen candid photography which is similar to the photojournalistic one. The only difference between these two styles is that in photojournalism one combines shots to create a storyline that is dramatic. Candid photography on the other hand is laid back and reflects the general feel of a wedding. Another trend in wedding photography is when it appears to be creatively candid. This style is a blend of both candid and laid back photography. Today the Colorado wedding photographer also practices creative candid photography. Instead of sitting passively while the events unfolds the photographer now works to set up a good candid shot without the timeless style of posing.

But no matter where you go, all these styles are bound by one common thread. Today nobody likes a picture that looks posed. Couples would want their pictures to look candid and as natural as possible. Such natural compositions in the pictures bring warmth to the whole album, something that the Colorado wedding photography lacked. The style that you choose for your wedding photographs should also match your special day’s style. Traditional photography best documents a traditional ceremony. The relaxed candid style is suited for a relaxed destination ceremony. And the dramatic photojournalistic approach is best matched for a creative themed wedding.

Colorado wedding photographers may make high claims about their styles and usually sound similar in their pitch but the quality of photographs in the end may vary therefore it is very important to judge between a hyped marketing scheme and a genuine candid photographer. In order to do so you have to apply your own judgment. Instead of researching on wedding photographers based on their claims of photographic knowledge, one should get a firsthand view of their work and choose the one that impresses you the most. Despite local trends, Colorado wedding photography today has a huge database of photographers to choose from, all of whom will offer you their own personalized approach. One should critically analyze each of these photographers style to match your own and put together the perfect wedding photography album. http://www.artisticimagesphoto.com/

A wedding is one of the most special days in a young couple’s lives. The bride has probably dreamed of this moment her entire life, and has probably started planning and preparing for this wedding as soon as the relationship became serious. With long hours of preparation, stress, and running around, the expected outcome of the wedding is grand. It’s the day she will remember forever. This is why it’s so important to record it and find the best wedding photography in Toronto to help her capture the memories and show off this beautiful day.

There are several things you need to consider when choosing a wedding photographer in Toronto. There are many Toronto wedding photographers, and knowing the right questions to ask is important in choosing the right one. Below are 5 questions you shouldn’t skip out on:

How many years experience? This is a very important question because the photographer’s experience will reflect in the final pictures. You want a photographer with plenty of experience. This means actual experience as a wedding photographer, and the size of the weddings they have shot for. Though you can never be sure they are telling the whole truth, the rest of the questions may help to clarify.

What is the style of the photographer’s technique? This is very important because you want someone to match the style that you want out of your wedding pictures. There are many different styles, such as classic style, modern, relaxed, creative, artistic and so much more. Ask the photographer to explain and describe their photography style to you.

Will they be the person taking all the pictures? It’s important that you meet the actual photographer, not their secretary. You want to make sure that you get a good feeling from them, and that you enjoy their presence, as they will be around you your entire wedding. Also, ask to meet their assistants as well, as they will be right there with the photographer as well.

What kind of equipment will the photographer be using and bringing with him? This is very important, you want a professionally equipped photographer. Ask what kind of extra equipment he will be bringing aside from their camera, such as tripod, lighting, and other necessities. It’s good to have the extra equipment as they will help make your pictures better, but also, how will they affect your wedding and will they be in the way.

Can you see examples of their work and reviews or references? You want to look through other wedding photo albums that they have done in the past. This way you will get a better idea of the photographer’s shooting style and the way he works.

Your wedding is a very special day, and you should have the best wedding photography in Toronto to help you document and record it. There are many Toronto wedding photographers that offer various wedding photography packages so you want to carefully review each one to make sure that you are getting not only the best deal but the best wedding photography in Toronto. Another important thing to consider is if they also have a wedding videographer in Toronto as well, so you don’t have to work with different studios. Choose your wedding photographer well and you will have a wonderful time at your wedding and enjoy the pictures which you will proudly show off for years to come.

If you’re in the un-enviable position of looking for a wedding photographer to photograph your wedding in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire or Warwickshire – you may discover that a lot of the photographs you see on the photographers websites are in black and white. Why is this? Surely with the advancements in digital technology, modern professional cameras are superb at taking colour photographs. Years ago, black and white photographs were the only type of photographs that you could have, and key players in photographic development worked very hard to create colour film to capture the detail and colour that we see in real life. Wedding Photographs in the by-gone days were purely in black and white and when colour film finally became mainstream there was much excitement about the glorious technicolour that it allowed.

It may be that it is much easier to make a photograph with high impact – that is to say a photograph that tugs at your emotions more, if it is in black and white. Black and white wedding photographs have a nostalgic air to them and as we see the world generally in colour, it’s a lot easier to make a statement if your photograph is in black and white as it’s not what we’re used to seeing. It’s rare to see a photograph of ourselves in black and white and most people when taking holiday snaps or photographs of their children will take them in colour. This rarity adds impact – because it’s something we’re not used to seeing we probably see it as more specialist or professional.

Stripping away the colour in a photograph also helps to remove some of the photographs distractions. A red bag on a green lawn, left carelessly in the background of a wedding photograph will be far less distracting if the photograph is in black and white or muted colours. It’s an easy way to remove distractions and imperfections in the photograph, which may make some viewers see them as “better” whatever “better” is.

Photographing a scene so that it appears as it appeared in real life is actually quite difficult. Professional photographers know how to manipulate the camera settings in order to get the exposure (how light or dark a scene is) to resemble the truth. Colour saturation (how colourful) and white balance (how warm or cool the colour tones are) are other variables which affect how a scene looks and are other aspects of a photograph that the professional photographer must get right. By removing all colour, you do away with the need to worry about white balance – there is no warmth or coolness in black and white photographs and the colour saturation is zero. So displaying your photographs in black and white or monochrome is in theory easier than in colour. I say “in theory” as it’s very easy to make a flat or dull black and white photograph – all black and white wedding photographs are not the same.

Modern professional wedding cameras are very good at taking photographs in low light and retaining image quality. The professional range of Canon or Nikon cameras have very large, very sensitive sensors (the digital equivalent to film) this sensitivity allows wedding photographs such as the first dance or indoor evening photographs to be taken without flash. The cheaper amateur cameras do not retain as much detail as their professional counterparts in low light – some of that lack of detail is shown up on the image as noise, which looks a little bit like the grain you get in some black and white photographs. Wedding photographers with cheaper cameras can therefore make the grainy photograph look more acceptable by converting it to black and white. As the grain manifests itself as small dots of random colour speckles in the photographs, black and white shows this distraction less.

Of course, black and white photography has its place in wedding photography. If a scene has high pattern or texture, a correct black and white colour conversion can add a lot of value to a picture. The conversion has to be done correctly though. Each photograph is different – you can’t just press the “convert to greyscale” button and expect an artistic image to be produced. Time must be take to get the greyscale colour balance correct, by altering the saturation and luminance of each individual colour in the image before stripping the picture back to monochrome. Each photograph that is converted to black and white had to be crafted manually for the highest impact and professional wedding photographers that care about producing the very best images will take a great deal of time and effort to producing these images.

When done correctly and on the right photograph, black and white images can look stunning, just make sure the photographer you’re using for your wedding isn’t using monochrome as a technique to cover up their lack of skill or experience.

Experience of Your Wedding Photographer :: Expert or Amateur

Just as with any job, experience definitely determines the proficiency level of a photographer. Some photographers might be full-time wedding photographers and shoot nothing but weddings all year. Others might only shoot fashion photography and do weddings on the weekends or on the side. Even more may be new to wedding photography all together. It is beneficial to make sure that your wedding photographer has enough experience to shoot your wedding but also has the images to back it up. If you really like their style and they may have only shot a few weddings, go for it if you feel comfortable with their experience level.

I recommend finding a photographer that not only has the experience shooting weddings but also has experience shooting all kinds of events. In my opinion, I feel it is important to look at the entire catalog of what a wedding photographer has shot in order to get an idea of their experience, more specifically their wedding photographer catalog. Ask about their experience level and how many weddings they have photographed in the past. Have them show you what they feel to be their “best” wedding photography work. See if you have any favorites in their portfolio collection. Notice whether your reaction when viewing the photographer’s photos and if you feel yourself wanting those same style of pictures done for your wedding.

Caliber :: Quality versus Quantity

Where I work, one of the main questions I am asked is, “How many images will I receive?” I constantly assure every client I encounter that the work is based upon a firm belief in quality and not quantity. I have heard so many stories of wedding photographers that work solely on the idea that “more is better.” However, often times the more pictures a photographer strives to get, the more he or she rushes through the shooting process in order to get this many photos. The photographer may have snapped the first kiss as husband and wife but because he or she was hurrying through the process, the exposure value was off, say making the pictures too dark. The faster a photographer runs through taking photos many times runs parallel with the quality of the photographs. More errors are made when hurrying!

Rushing wedding photography compromises the quality and the overall creativity and artistic look of the pictures. A wedding photographer should strive to take the best images possible and never overpromise pictures to his or her clients. You want to make sure you have a photographer that can produce enough images for your special day but also make sure those images are worthwhile and superior work. It is completely understandable that you will want the most pictures possible from your day! Still, a top notch wedding photographer will never compromise quality just to shoot an extra 100 pictures. I feel that the most memorable photos and treasured moments come from the time invested into the photography.

Multiples :: Wedding Photographer “plus one”

Upon booking a wedding photographer, in many cases, a photography package includes more than one photographer, if you feel one is necessary. I have seen so many instances of disappointment from couples that hired a wedding photographer but didn’t choose to hire a second or even a possible third photographer for the wedding. Because one person can only be in one place at one time due to the nature of time and space (and unfortunately there is no way around this!), many moments can be missed along the way. While a primary photographer focuses on the bride and groom during the ceremony, who is there to catch the mother wiping her teary eyes, the bridesmaids catching sentimental glances at each other, or the musicians playing the music as she walks down the isle?

Catching so many different shots and angles requires much movement and time, both of which are difficult to acquire during the middle of a ceremony! I fully recommend that a second photographer is hired in addition to the first in most cases, especially if the bridal party and guest list is over 50 people. From this, you get more shots of the bridal party and the family during the actual ceremony, and more specific moments and memories are captured. For larger weddings, often size 200 or more, I recommend having three photographers. The first for the couple, the second for the family, bridal party, and crowd, and the third photographer often can maneuver around to get creative and “outside” shots of the ceremony from a completely different point of view. You can’t have a primary photographer running around the guests and down the isle to catch each angle! It is so important to think through what shots and angles you truly want from the wedding, then base the number of wedding photographers around what you are hoping to achieve.
