S4-E22 The myth of good Enslavers and Happy Slaves

    in Education

We address the myths being perpetrated that in any way, shape, or form, that slavery was beneficial to black people, that there was such a creature as a good enslaver, or that slaves were happy and content with their oppressive conditions.
It's a shame we even need to explain this in 2023 but who better than us right?
As always, we'll share amazing music, poetry, and bring the voices of the abolitionist ancestors back to life for a new generation in our Bridging The gap Segment.

Tonight’s show is one of those open-ended talk shows. My panelist and I will talk about whatever pops up in our conversation.

Every TBI survivor and caregiver has encountered a fork in the road that has diverted his or her life-plan. A car accident, a fall from the roof, doing one more chin-up, or a door literally slamming one in the face are just some causes of traumatic brain injury. College plans, walking down the aisle in the perfect dress, or the coveted job quickly slip from reality as dreams turn to struggle. These unexpected life-happenings that divert one from his or her chosen path in life can be devastating. But as Yogi Berra once said, "If you come to a fork in the road, take it." Life is all about choices! To learn more about me, please visit my blog and website.
